Shipping & Returns

NOTE: We only ship to the United States. We are NOT setup to ship to other countries.

All items are shipped directly from the warehouse in Mexico MO. All items shipped to locations in the US are shipped via Fed-Ex. A confirmation with Fed-Ex tracking number is emailed once your products are shipped. All items shipped to locations in Canada are shipped via USPS uninsured and with no tracking number.

NOTE: Do not ship any items back to us without prior authorization. Items shipped to us without prior authorization could substantially extend the length of time it will take to correct your order and get you the product you have ordered. Please read the information below and email us at shippingdept@birdwares.com to report all shipping discrepancies.

Out of Stock Items – We prefer to ship full orders once out of stock items are in. Shipping items individually can increases shipping costs dramatically. Stock quantities shown are estimates used to indicate whether your order could be delayed due to insufficient stock.  The quantities shown are updated frequently but may not indicate in-process orders from other sources that may not yet have been automatically processed by our inventory control system. If you desire partial shipment of orders, please let us know so that we may consider the additional shipping costs and process your order properly. Please feel free to call with any questions. 

Shipping errors - Shipping errors are handled immediately – If you (the customer) see an error when you receive the tracking number(s), email us at Shippingdept@birdwares.com immediately and we will either reroute the package or reship, which ever is faster. If the mistake is ours , we will fix it at our expense ASAP. If you have given us incorrect information, any charges from Fed-Ex will be your (the customer's) responsibility.

If you (the customer) receive a damaged, broken or defective item, please contacted us immediately with a detailed description of what is wrong. We will need to determine if it was a hidden damage from the manufacture, Fed-Ex damaged, or inadequate packaging. This information is important for future orders and customers as we may be able to keep it from happening again. 

Incorrect Item received - If you (the customer) receive an incorrect item - we will need to know if you still wants the correct merchandise. We will reship the correct item out regular ground at our expense and we will decide if a call tag will be issued for the incorrect item.

Damaged Item- If you receive a damaged item from Fed-Ex - we will reship another item at no charge to you and then file a claim with Fed-Ex for the original shipment. You will need to hold onto the item for 7 business days in case Fed-Ex picks up the damaged item. We must be contacted on shipping damages within 8 days from the day the order was shipped, otherwise no credit will be able to be given on freight claimed damages. We must file a claim with the freight company within a specific time after the shipping date.

Defective Item If you receive a defective item, we will reship another at no charge Fed-Ex ground and file a claim with the vendor. You will need to hold onto the item for 7 business days in case the vendor call tags the item back.

Returns Please be sure to email us at shippingdept@birdwares.com if you need to request a return. If you need to return an item to us for any reason other than the above we will only refund your cost of the item less 20% restocking fee if it is in restockable unoppened condition. (we must be able to put it on our shelves as a new product.) All returns require a Return Authorization prior to shipping.
